I would like to note some things about my trip and these posts. There is so much information online regarding popular tourist attractions, that there would be no point repeating it. Rather, I want to point out some of the quirks and challenges with things like transportation, lodging, cultures, and doing laundry.

I try to stay in hostels in order to interact with other travelers to share adventures and stories. I didn’t feel like I had the same experience staying in hotels, however, sometimes a hotel stay is nice to regroup and have time to recharge.
